A little boy asked his mother "why are you crying?".
"I just am" his mother explained.
"I don't understand", he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."
有个小男孩问妈妈「妈咪，妳为什么在哭呢？」
妈妈说：「我就是想哭」
小男孩说：「我不懂」。妈妈抱抱他，说：「是的，你永远不会懂的。」
Later the little boy asked his father,
"Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"
"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.
之后，小男孩问爸爸：「为什么妈咪会无缘无故的就在哭呢？」
爸爸答的上来的只有：「所有的女人都会无缘无故的哭。」
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.
小男孩长大成了男人，但还是想不通「女人为何而哭？」
Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked,
"God, why do women cry so easily?"
最后他决定打电话问上帝，他直接在电话中问：「上帝，为什么女人这么会哭呢？」
God said, " When I made the woman, she had to be special.
上帝回答：「我所塑造女人，必须是非常特别的。」
I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet
gentle enough to give comfort.
我让她的肩膀强韧得足以背负这个世界但是又柔软地可以给人抚慰；
I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.
我让她有内在的力量，可以承受分娩的痛苦及来自孩子们的排斥抗拒；
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.
我赐予她坚定的本质，在所有人都放弃时仍坚持着，并无怨无悔地照护她的家庭走过疾病及疲累；
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.
我赐予她敏锐的心，让她不论在何种处境下，都会去爱她的孩子，即使孩子曾深深伤害过她；
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned
her from his rib to protect his heart.
我赐予她力量，带领丈夫度过他犯的过错，让她扮演守护丈夫心灵的角色，一如肋骨保护心脏般；
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.
我给她智慧，让她了解一个好丈夫是永远不会伤害妻子的，但是偶尔又给她一点小小的试链，看看她是否能够坚定不移的与丈夫并肩而立。
And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."
最后，我给了她眼泪，任何时刻可以自由运用的专属权利。
"You see, my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes , because that is the doorway to her heart the place where love resides."
上帝说：「所以了，我的孩子，女人的美丽不在于她穿的衣裳、外貌体态或是她梳头发的模样；她的美丽是在她的眼睛里，因为那是通往她心灵的入口--爱的栖息处。」 |
